Every one of us has been in the situation where we have been told our schools
for teaching practice and all we really want is to find someone who has been there
before, to find out the little as well as big things about the school. This way
we could spend our often all-too-short prep days getting to know the children,
and what we are going to teach rather than 'How much is a cup of tea?' and just
generally be reassured and less nervous - if other people have done it, so can
you! Studentstaffroom.co.uk
has been set up so you can do exactly that, share useful information about your
placement schools and any general teaching experiences as well. This website can
be whatever you make it, the more contributions, the better a resource it becomes.
The reason for the birth of this website can be found here. We
are constantly trying to make it easier for you to contribute so now you don't
have to email you can just fill in your school information online
now! If
you are a student about to start a placement and have a question for the contributor
of one of the schools, email us at
schoolquery@studentstaffroom.co.uk, include the name of the school in question,
your query, name and email address. We will then forward it to the contributor
and hopefully they will be able to reply to you. Student Staffroom is not able
to answer queries on specific schools or force people to communicate! We just
hope that everyone will be willing to help each other. Remember
that life and schools are ever changing, some of the teaching practice information
that people provide even quite recently may have changed by now. The amount of
information provided on each school is in no way a reflection on the school, it's
up to each contributor how much they include. This site is here for us to support
each other as best we can with what we know. Happy
